Paris Baguette Opens Across the Street

While it's certainly not legal news, Paris Baguette is the first cafe within walking distance of my office since I moved it here in 2008.  After enjoying dozens of good coffee spots within blocks of my old office in San Francisco from 1999 to 2005, the idea of driving three quarters of a mile through the dusty traffic and cement kiln effluvia of South Bay streets and to get Starbucks was... not exciting.

Espresso, comfortable seats, WiFi, pastries, cheese omlets and sandwiches 100 yards away from work brightened the neighborhood. I've met clients there for lunch and coffee and my coworkers and I sometimes have lunch there.

It's the little things.
