Francis was a construction worker injured on the job. He hired a lawyer to manage his workers compensation claim so that he could receive the medical care he needed and pay his expenses during his convalescence. But his attorney dropped the ball.
The attorney Francis hired either failed to file his appeal on time, or could not document that he did so. As a result the court dismissed the case. Francis's attorney didn't explain what happened and instead tried to "fix" the situation with a series of motions and other actions that dragged the case out for more than a year.
Then Francis came to Olender.
After initial efforts to settle the case proved useless, Sean Olender filed a civil lawsuit for attorney malpractice against Francis's attorney. After brief litigation, Sean was able to settle the suit for the original sum that the client had requested.
Francis was able to get the medical care he needed and compensation roughly equivalent to the claim he lost because of his attorney's negligence
